What it is
Most apps treat encryption as a feature you turn on. We treat it as the point. Your relationships — not just the messages inside them — belong to you and the people you trust. Revres is the place where that is actually true.
What stays yours
Your conversations
End-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them. Each message travels under an anonymous mailbox address rather than your name, waits encrypted only until it reaches you, and then we delete our copy — leaving nothing readable to profile, to sell, or to hand over.
Your calls
Calls connect your devices straight to each other wherever the network allows. When they connect that way, no audio or video passes through us at all.
Your account
Your identity is a handle you choose, not a phone number we rent from a carrier. You decide which ways to sign in, and you can add or change them, so long as one way back in always remains.
What we are building next
Revres is launching with private messaging, contacts, and calling. The shared things we are building on top of that foundation, and have already built once before, are shared calendars, lists, passes and files, plus a trust surface that shows at a glance who has verified whom. Those are not in the first release. When they ship, this page will say so.
Why we built it
The default trade in modern software is "you are the product." Revres is built on the opposite assumption: that the value of a relationship belongs to the people in it. We do not sell behavioural data, and we do not measure how engaging we are. If we ever run an advertisement on this page it will be a non-personalised one, chosen by what the page is about and roughly where you are, never by a profile of you built across the web. The privacy policy spells that out in full, and said so before any ad ran rather than after.
Encrypted is not the same as private
Your phone's texting app encrypts what you say. It does not hide who you talked to, when, or how often, and that record lives with companies you did not choose. After a foreign intrusion into American phone networks in 2024, the US cybersecurity agency told people at risk to assume their mobile communications could be intercepted, and to use end-to-end encrypted apps instead.
